ACFCLA Contemporary Dance Company features some of the top contemporary dancers currently working in the industry from all over the World with credits including Twyla

Tharp, Boston Ballet, Michael Jackson, Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Cats, Chicago, SYTYCD,

TV/Film and more. The Dance Company performs major concert events featuring original  contemporary productions, dance festivals, charity benefits, community events  and lecture demonstrations in schools through out the year.   Every piece the dance company creates is designed to entertain, educate and inspire people in positive ways through this artistic form.

The ACFCLA contemporary dance company consists of an Artistic Director - Anacia Weiskittel Principle Soloists, Corps Dance Company members and large group of guest artists and guest Choreographers including Kobi Rozenfeld, Gitit Kohavie, Stilt World and more.  We are a co-op style company in that each of it’s members and select guest artists choreograph for the company as well as teach company classes.  This is part of what gives us our unique style and diverse selection of material.   Each of our dancers have extensive professional dance experience and are equally amazing people in their like-minded and community efforts as well as incredible talents.

Angelina Prendergast - Born in Citta de Castello, Italy number nine in her family. She began training in dance at age seven and has studied with Woodbury Dance Studio UK, Kansas City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Perry Mansfield Performing Art School, and Gelsey Kirkland’s Academy of Classical Ballet NYC. She passed her Royal Academy of Dance Grade 6 and Pre-Elementary exams with Distinction. She began seriously pursuing acting in her early teens with The Exeter Little Theatre Company in England and later attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in LA to study acting for film, television, and the stage as well as develop skills in stage combat through the Society of American Fight Directors. She lives in LA and works as an actress, performing artist, dance teacher and Yamuna Body Rolling Instructor. She  performs regularly with Stilt World, ACFCLA, Silverlake Contemporary Ballet, and RAW artists. Most recently she played Lupita in a NYC Off Broadway run of Innocent Flesh the play and starred as the lead character Karen in the psycho-thriller feature film Unpeacable. 

Dasha Tertorva - Grew up dancing with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow since age 4.  After performing ballet for years she decided she wanted to learn other styles like Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop.  She has since gone on to perform "Cats" musical, "Riverdance Company" European tour along with professional work that has taken her all over the world. Recently she has worked with Beyoncé, MJ Cirque video, and is one of LA's most sought after dancers for her technique and Hip Hop styles.  

Danielle Towne - Danielle moved to LA in 2002 to pursue a professional dance career.  Since then she’s been seen on many tours including most recently The Black Eyed Peas World Tour.. You can spot her in numerous music videos with such artists as Brittany Spears, Avril Lavigne, P Diddy, Wolfmother, Aretha Franklin, and Lady Gaga. She has traveled the world performing and has been in various commercials. She has been teaching since the age 16 and sets choreography at studios all over the United States.

Andrew Pirozzi - Andrew Pirozzi was born and raised in New Jersey where he started

dancing at the age of 4.  He has toured with multiple Broadway shows

including Movin' Out, West Side Story, Dirty Dancing and Follies.

Since residing in Los Angeles, some of Andrew's work can be found on

shows like Dancing with the Stars, abc's Work it, and in the recent

film Rock of Ages.  Andrew is excited to explore some great movement

with the ACFCLA dance company this year.

Stacey Pirozzi - Stacey was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona where she studied dance from the age of 3.  She became diverse in her abilities as a dancer through her training with Dance Motion Performing Company and later received her B.F.A. in Dance and B.S. in Physiology from the University of Arizona.  She has studied with River North Dance Chicago, STEPS on Broadway, Tara Foy, Tina Caspary/Cyphert, Kevin and Meri Bender, Suzy Guarino, and many, many more.  Among many performing opportunities, he has performed roles such as “Judy” in the Broadway National Tour of Movin’ Out (where she was also Dance Captain, Swing, and “Brenda” U/S), a Rockette in the Radio City Christmas spectacular, and a Ballerina Barbie for Mattel.  You might also spot her in William Shatner’s “Cooking’s a Drag” and the “Rhythm Essence” Tap Instruction Video directed by Suzy Guarino.  She has over 5 years of teaching experience and currently enjoys teaching at Degas Dance Studio while still performing and studying to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  Most of all, Stacey’s passion remains with her loving husband, Andrew, and two adorable daughters, Kyra and Ferrara!

Charles F. Martinez  - Singer/Actor/Dancer/Musician, has been a performer from an early age.  Originally from Bay City, Texas, he began playing piano at the age of 5 (classically trained) and studied dance from the age of 10 at Lynn Bates School of Dance.  As the arts were his passion, he went on to earn a B.A. in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas at Austin.  While in college he utilized his gymnastics skills as a member of the prestigious UT Cheerleading Squad.  Since moving to L.A. he has worked professionally as an actor in TV and Film.  Most recently he has returned to the stage in several local musical theatre productions and showcases.  When he isn't performing, Charles works as a Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness Hollywood.  Charles is excited to join the talented artists of ACFCLA and looks forward to making a difference in the community and ultimately the world.  

Tyler Drewitz - has been dancing, teaching, and performing for over 10 years. He has trained with the Folsom Lake Civic Ballet, Hawkins School of Performing Arts, Northern California Dance Conservatory, Step 1 Dance and Fitness, and is currently a work study at Millennium Dance  Complex where he continues to grow as an artist everyday. He has traveled participating in dance companies, taking master classes and assisting other professional instructors. Tyler has worked with Disney as a performer and opened for artists such as B5, Everlife, High School Musical, and The Jonas Brothers. He has danced in shows such as "All Night Strut", " Lets Go","Hooray for Hollywood", and "Shake,Rattle and Roll". Tyler has been teaching Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary classes for 4 years throughout the Sacramento area and just recently moved to Los Angelas from Branson, MO where he was performing up to 13 shows a week.. One day he plans to be choreographing for artists and theatrical shows. Until then he would like to share his knowledge and unique dance style while continuing to grow and work with other artists committed to making positive changes in our community. Tyler is so grateful and happy to be a part of ACFCLA and can't wait to experience the 2012-2013 season.

Brittany Piech - Brittany grew up in the mid west suburbs of Chicago and started dancing when she was 3. By the time she was 12 and was accepted into an elite Jazz dance company called Perseverence Dance Company which is still going strong today. When she Graduated form High School she received a Scholarship from Gus Giordanos dance company in Chicago and started out in their apprentice company. She moved to California to be on scholarship at the Edge. Since she has lived in LA she has appeared on the show "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" Series on Disney channel. She has had the experience of doing 3 shows at The El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

Emmy Frevele - Emmy began her dance training at the age of 2 in Northern California. She trained in all forms of dance and developed a huge array of special skills. She began dancing professionally while in college on stage with Rogue Valley Opera Company. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance in October, 2011. She has since worked with some of the biggest industry professionals: Kenny Ortega, Liz Imperio, Daniel "Cloud" Campos, Tony Testa, Toni Basil, and many more! Emmy is a dancer, choreographer, and performer. She teaches tumbling and dance and edits music professionally, too! She is currently dancing with ACFCLA and x:Animo Dance Crew and living life to its absolute fullest!

Jenelle Lancaster - Graduate of UCLA Political Science and Philosophy she intends to continue school and get a degree in Law. Originally from Alberta, Canada, she began dancing at the age of 3. At 16, she traveled to Riesa, Germany to compete in the World Dance Championships, where she took home a gold medal. At 17 she moved to NYC and was the assistant choreographer for the world famous Radio City Rockettes. She has traveled the world performing eventually found her way to Los Angeles. Most recently she could be seen in Disney's production of "UP" at the El Capitan Theater, several TV appearances, including Calvin Klein's "Look Good, Feel Better" ad campaign and FOX's "VIP Passport" series. Jenelle has danced in a number of music videos for world famous recording artists, such as Kylie Minogue and The Roots, to name a few.

Elizabeth Baxter - is a professional dancer, dance teacher, health & wellness coach, and entrepreneur. She studied marketing at Kennesaw State University. She is a former professional NBA dancer and has performed in multiple live shows all over the world. She has a passion for helping kids enjoy fitness, know the importance of nutrition, and appreciate the art of dance. She gives back to her community by providing an afterschool program teaching dance. She wants to inspire others around the world to live a healthy, happy lifestyle and share her passion for the arts. She has performed in shows such as the Grammy Awards, Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, and with world renowned artists such as Chris Brown. She has been teaching since she was 15 and her award winning choreography can be seen in competitive dance studios, cheerleading gyms, and on the NBA courts. When she isn't dancing she is designing for her clothing line Peace Love Dance, which is inpired by quotes that have kept her thriving. She is currently dancing with the ACFCLA dance company and proud to be apart of such a talented and inspiring organization.

Ruthie Holmes - of Saratoga Springs, NY is dedicated to inspiring others through dance, movement, and comedy. She has been with ACFCLA since summer of 2010 and was thrilled to be a part of the preview performance of Gaia on February 18th, Say Something, Keshet Chaims Dance 4 Life, Dee Caspary's Nvitational, and TriArtsFest.  Ruthie has performed with Goddess A Go Go, Need Theater LA, Le Studio Dance, and was a Hot Box Dancer in Cabrillo College's 2006 performance of "Guys and Dolls".  She is a graduate of the conservatory program for improv at Second City in Hollywood.  Most recently, she was in an episode of 1000 Ways to Die on Spike TV.  You can catch her voice every now and again in promos/trailers/tvspots for studio films.  Ruthie has always believed that life is worth living if you can put a smile on one person's face a day.

Juan Toledo - A South American Native originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador. He came to California as a teen. He discovered a yearning and passion in the Performing Arts at a very young age.  He danced under the direction of Robyn Gardenhire of City Ballet of Los Angeles and has choreographed for local companies such as Creations Dance Theatre and LA Unbound. He has performed in several Musical Productions, America’s Best Dance Crew Promo, Mun2 Spanish Network and has also danced with Dancescape and The Fanatix Dance Co.

Jonathan Silva - Studied at Orange Coast College and is the owner of J Silva Dance Academy.  Jon's career didn't begin with dance.  He was a high school cheerleader and a member of the elite PACE All Stars cheerleading team in Orange County. He was also a cheerleader for Orange Coast College, their team went on to win the 2007 national championship.  Jon is an NCA national jump champion. It wasn't until age 17 Jon realized his love and talent for dance.   Jon is featured in numerous music videos, commercials, theatre and film.  He danced for Disney, Jonas Bros. and choreograph for the group LMFAO.  Most recently Jon can be seen on Nick Jr's "Fresh Beat Band" and Beyonce's latest video "Girl".

Lilian Manansala - Dancer, choreographer, and Master Teacher, Lilian Manansala has performed  for Fusion Dance Workshop, Al Gilbert Seminars, DanceMakers, Inc., and tamjams, and has assisted Master Teachers on Tremaine Conventions, Encore Convention, Dance Masters Association, and Hoctor’s Dance Caravan.  In New York, she taught at the world-renowned studio, Steps on Broadway, and at Dancespace. Lilian has choreographed for and appeared in Disney’s That’s So Raven, Cory in the House, and Kickin' It, and has choreographed for Sonny with a Chance, Good Luck, Charlie, and So Random, and Disney, Jr.'s Choo Choo Soul. She choreographed the pilot episodes for Disney’s Hannah Montana, Keke & Jamal, and Better Days and has choreographed for the Cartoon Network’s Out of Jimmy’s Head. She has also choreographed for abcfamily’s Pretty Little Liars.

Janna Ridley - Janna s from Virginia Beach, VA and trained at the Governor's School for the Arts and Academie de Ballet in addition to summer programs at Ballet Magnificat and The Juilliard School.  She is excited to join ACFCLA after a very long hiatus from dance in which she graduated from James Madison University with a B.A in Theatre and Dance and a B.S. in Communication Sciences.  While she was letting her pointe shoes air out, she had a career as a trade show model/emcee and founded the live marketing company United Trade Show Talent.  She also works commercially as an actress and dancer and can most likely be seen behind a product on your television screen.  When she is not dancing, she works as a hair and makeup artist.  When her pointe shoes finally did air out, they didn't fit anymore...such is life.  

Ashley Towne - recently moved to LA from Flagstaff, Arizona. In Arizona she established and participated in multiple performing dance companies while receiving her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Northern Arizona University. Through out time she has used dance as a tool for connecting to individuals, the environment and her community. She has worked with choreographers such as Dante7, Andre Fuentes, Lisa Eardly, Sheri Godfrey and more. She has been teaching dance and performing in the United States, Asia and Europe for over 10 years.

Lauren Sanford  found passion for dance at the young age of three dancing in Orange County at the Orange County Song & Dance Company studying various styles. She continued her dancing at Orange Coast College finding interest in choreography and kinesiology. Meanwhile, she began performing at The Disneyland Resort Anaheim in parades and shows. She has just recently returned home from working on contract for two years with Euro Disney and The Tokyo Disney Resort. Lauren also practices yoga regularly and is fascinated with the movement of the human body. She is looking forward to growing as a dancer and performer and is happy to be dancing with ACFCLA.
